Year 2 Visit to Cadbury’s World
As part of their learning challenge, Is chocolate good for your heart?, our year 2 children visited Cadbury’s World. They had a fabulous day but know that chocolate should be eaten as an occasional treat!

Despite the cold and wet weather, our year 1 children thoroughly enjoyed their day finding out more about animals and their environments.
Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils made a special visit to church to learn more about Candlemas. Father Tommy led reflection and prayers by the Candlemas Window at Christ Church.
Five of our year 6 cohort participated in “Brining the WOW into Worship” at Dovedale House. We were personally invited by Bishop Geoff so were really keen to participate. Thank you to Mrs Edwards and Mrs Hemmings who made the visit possible.
Our Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Sir Tim Peake Exhibition in Birmingham. It was great for them to see the photographs taken from space. they even had their photograph taken with him!
Our annual Christingle service was another magical event with Christ Church lit only by candle light. Thank you Fr Tommy for a lovely service to finish the autumn term.
Our year 6 class had a great day out in London visiting the opulent State Rooms at Buckingham Palace as well as learning more about democracy and meeting our local MP at the Houses of Parliament. The train journey was also very exciting.
Our annual Harvest Service took place at Christ Church in Fenton. All food donated was given to the local Food Bank to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Our head boy and two prefects attended the Local Authority Local Democracy event in October. They thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were excellent ambassadors for the school.
Some of our Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoyed an afternoon of fun exercise as part of the Change for Life programme.
As part of the Adopt a Chef programme our year 4 class visited Staffordshire University. They were able to see the professional kitchen, sample a delicious lunch and visit the university site. It definitely made the children think positively about going to university in the future.
Our year 1 children really enjoyed the Fitzy Festival.
