Key Stage 2 Christmas Carol service
Our Key Stage 2 children visited Christ Church to celebrate Christmas. They shared the Christmas story and sang Christmas carols. Thank you to Rev Geoff who led the service and to everybody who joined us.

As part of the history curriculum, Year 3 visited Beeston Castle. Despite the weather, the children really enjoyed learning more about the Stone Age and seeing the gorgeous Cheshire countryside.
As part of our RE curriculum, Year 6 visited the Gillani Moor Nasjid mosque in Normacot. They learnt about how the mosque supports the local community as well as finding out about the history of the mosque.
A group of our amazing Singing Stars performed an outdoor concert at our local hospital just before Christmas. The children were amazing! They received many fabulous comments from patients and visitors who stopped to have a listen on a very chilly December morning.
Our Year 6 pupils visited Keele University to gain a brief insight into what life at university is like. They visited the observatory, had a sports lesson and created their ideal university campus using Lego. A great day was had by all.
Our year 6 pupils helped in our support of the Poppy Appeal by selling poppies at breaktime. We also had sections of our library showcasing Remembrance themed books. On Friday 11th November all children across the academy observed the two minute silence at 11am.
As part of their learning on the Vikings, Anglo Saxons and Scots and the changes they made to Britain, our year 5 class visited Tamworth Castle. They had a superb day!
To help celebrate poetry day, each class visited our school library to listen to poems read by Mrs Hopwood.
SCFC visited our reception class to help share the importance of brushing your teeth.
As part of our work on encouraging children to cycle or scoot to school we held a Bling your Bike competition. Thank you to everybody who participated. We really enjoyed seeing your creations.
Our walk to school became a bit more exciting when a Storyteller joined a number of our families on a daily walk from Albert Square, Fenton. It was a superb way to start the day.
We supported World Religion Day by finding out about key figures in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism.
